I have a different concept in mind. I want to capture fire in its raw form. My friend Marthin is an educator but during his free time he dabbles on his bike. He has done bike stunts and I know it would be a good idea capturing him in action with searing fire in the background. I told Marthin about the concept and being a risk taker, he agreed.

One fine day, I hired fire breathers, set up the ramp and in a while I captured the images of the rider with fire on the background. One image I took got my interest because it depicted a struggle between human and the element and has clearly shown the rider coming strong against the fire. Didn’t know who won but I got the picture I wanted.

Mommy Dionisia, Pacman’s charming mother, just celebrated her birthday last Saturday at KCC Convention Center and the adjective to describe the event would be “AWESOME”. Doing this assignment for her b-day celebration made me know Mommy D up close and personal. She is a very laid back person…. a true one inside and out and there is never a dull moment whenever she’s around. My fave photo for the event is her photo with her 89-year old mother giving her a buzz on the cheeks. Pacman’s grandma is still very much active and very much proud with Mommy D’s achievements. To Sir Manny, Ma’am Jinkee , Mommy D and Lee-ann Omega I wanna say ” A big Thank You” for giving me this opportunity, again, to write your family’s another milestone…Thank you for being a big part of my professional and personal life… Looking forward to another awesome birthday next year for Pacman household’s pillar of strength… Sabi nga ni Mommy D… walang Manny kung walang Mommy D!!!

One of Gensan’s famous sons has returned and celebrated his 21st birthday celebration with his closest friends, selected Gensan locals and choicest fans. TV and movie actor Gerald Anderson decided to celebrate with the Generals and looked back to where he came from. The atmosphere was lively, but at the sentimental especially when Gerald spoke about family made him, his brother and mother shed tears. The food was superb courtesy of Paseo del Sol and the event was a mixture of beautiful faces, good food and awesome place. The party was a product of collaboration of Kim Chiu and Gerald’s beauteous mom Vangie.

I consider it to be a great honor to chosen to do the exclusive photo coverage for the event. Seldom have I encountered a project involving a well-known local actor and this will be a welcome addition to my portfolio. Coincidentally, the project was the right timing for me to use the new lens 24-70 2.8 for my Nikon. I took a lot of shots of the celebrant with the use of continuous lights and the dominant blue light highlighted his appealing nature.

Special mention to the organizers and people who worked hard to make the event successful: Jhun Ador, Events Invites Design by Luzie, Raymond Lopez, Print Depot, Digital Detours, Nanette Cake Creations, EZ Capture Photobooth and Paseo del Sol. I surely welcome this kind of assignments. And how I wish my next assignments would be with Angel Locsin and KC Concepcion . Trivia: I enjoyed my stint as a photographer for the event but it was my belt who was able to get close to Gerald. He borrowed my belt for his loose pants. Being a professional, I gladly went on with my job even if my pants are inching down little by little.

The Kasal 2010 Exhibit at Gaisano Mall Atrium was a huge success. Friends and walk-in clients flocked at my booth and viewed the pictures on exhibit. It was a very fun, fun fun three days and I am very grateful for the support given by my sponsors and friends who have modeled for me in my fashion shots and for my clients who trusted me to cover their life’s most memorable events, and excited because I got bookings for events photo coverage.
